Manager of Ankara based NEVTEK Company visits Burundi to explore business opportunities

Bujumbura, 1st of September 2015

The NEVTEK Company represented by Mr. Ahmet BAYRAM completed a one day visit to Burundi.

During his short visit in Bujumbura, he met with different Government entities including the Ministry of Health and the Burundi Investment Promotion Authority (API) where he was welcomed by the Staff from Division of Promotion and Communication.

Mr. Esaie NTIDENDEREZA, Head of the division, made a brief welcome remark to the delegation where he presented the Agency and its achievements in terms of easing the business environment for investors.

Mr. BAYRAM presented NEVTEK Company explaining the areas of interest such as manufacturing Silicopolymer products, construction such as very modern government buildings or five stars hotel, healthcare and mobile equipments. Some of these NEVTEK activities are already established in Doha, Qatar and in The Netherlands. Mr. BAYRAM is positive that if Burundi Government and private businessmen show interest for establishing partnership, Burundi may be next in the line to host NEVTEK business given its geographical strategic position for business in the EAC region.

It should be noted that, thanks to the facilitation of the Burundi Embassy in Ankara, a Protocol aiming at strengthening trade cooperation between the Ankara Chamber of Commerce and Burundi Investment Promotion Authority is currently in the pipeline and being reviewed for signature.
